About the role

The Pediatric Neuropsychologist will specialize in neuropsychological assessment of children of all ages, providing services in the NeuroDevelopmental Science Center, which includes Neurology, Neurosurgery, Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics, and Physiatry. Specialization will be dependent on candidate interest, and additional opportunities for specialization may be available upon request.

Responsibilities

  • Provide neuropsychological assessments for patients with Neurofibromatosis, neuro-oncology, epilepsy, traumatic brain injury, metabolic disorders, cranio-facial disorders, Turner Syndrome, genetic disorders, renal transplantation clearance evaluations, and long-term effects of perinatal issues.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including pediatric neuropsychologists, psychologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in academic appointments through Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) and serve on hospital committees.
  • Supervise, teach, and train graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in neuropsychology and psychology.
  • Contribute to research and clinical trials related to pediatric neuropsychology.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in child clinical psychology/pediatric psychology with completion of an APA/CPA-accredited internship in child psychology/pediatric psychology.
  • Eligibility for licensure in Ohio.
  • Completion of a formal two-year Pediatric Neuropsychology Post-doctoral Fellowship (APPCN preferred).
  • Experience with medical populations is preferred.
  • Board certification in Clinical Neuropsychology within 5 years of hire.
