About the role

The Pediatric Neuropsychologist at Cooper University Health Care is responsible for conducting comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations of children and adolescents with various conditions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough intake interviews with caregivers
  • Selecting and administering appropriate standardized tests
  • Auditing intellectual functioning, attention, executive functioning, memory, language, visual-spatial skills, processing speed, academic achievement, and emotional and behavioral functioning
  • Providing structured feedback sessions with caregivers
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams including pediatricians, neurologists, therapists, and school personnel
  • Maintaining accurate documentation in the medical record
  • Managing referral flow and caseload
  • Ensuring timely report turnaround

Responsibilities

Key duties include:

  • Completing comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations
  • Developing treatment recommendations for patients and families
  • Identifying ways to improve access for patients on the referral list
  • Developing presentations and providing trainings on pediatric neuropsychology
  • Participating in weekly didactics and group supervision
  • Maintaining meaningful and effective relationships with leadership
  • Engaging in ongoing behavioral health research

Requirements

Qualifications required include:

  • Experience working within the field of neuropsychology with a child and adolescent population
  • Post-doctoral training in neuropsychology with child and adolescent populations preferred
  • Doctoral Degree – Psychology (Psy.D.) or Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology
  • New Jersey Psychologist license
