Pediatric Hospitalist

Responsibilities

Pediatrix is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Hospitalist to provide exceptional inpatient care at MyMichigan Medical Center in Midland, Michigan. You will manage a broad spectrum of pediatric cases—from acute medical conditions to surgical consults—delivering comprehensive, compassionate, and patient-centered care to infants, children, and adolescents.

Pediatric Hospitalist Position Overview

In this pediatric hospitalist role, you will play a vital part in shaping the inpatient pediatric experience, ensuring high-quality care delivery while collaborating closely with specialists, nursing teams, and community providers. Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct inpatient care, including daily rounds, admissions, and discharges
• Interpret diagnostic studies, prescribe medications, and manage ongoing treatment plans
• Perform essential pediatric procedures such as IV placement, lumbar punctures, and resuscitations
• Collaborate with subspecialists, surgeons, and primary care providers to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to resident education and mentorship

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
• Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency Program
• Eligible for Michigan medical licensure
