Pediatric Hospitalist
Job Summary
University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health (UM UCH), a member of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), is seeking a full-time Pediatric Hospitalist.
About the role
The position involves monitoring the pediatric inpatient unit (9 beds) and level 3 nursery, occasional consults in the emergency department (ED), and coverage of high-risk deliveries. The schedule is flexible, consisting of 12 shifts per 4-week block (average 3 shifts per week), with majority day shifts but accommodating night shifts if preferred. Night shifts come with a premium.
Responsibilities
- Monitor pediatric inpatient unit and level 3 nursery
- Occasional consults in the emergency department
- Coverage of high-risk deliveries
- Flexible schedule of 12 shifts per 4-week block (average 3 shifts per week)
- Shifts are 7a-7p, 7p-7a with a preference for day shifts
Requirements
- Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Maryland
- Successful completion of Pediatrics residency
