Pediatric Hospitalist
About the role
The Department of Pediatrics at The University of Wisconsin is recruiting an exceptional Pediatric Hospitalist to join our Division of Hospital Medicine and Complex Care.
We are looking for candidates with a track record of clinical excellence and interest in education as demonstrated through training and/or practice experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care at the American Family Children’s Hospital and participating outreach locations.
- Participate in clinical teaching of fellows, residents, and medical students.
- Support the teaching and clinical research missions of the division and department.
- Engage in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health.
Requirements
- Board certification or board eligibility in American Board of Pediatrics by the appointment start date.
- Completion of an ACGME-approved pediatric residency program by start date.
- Eligibility for enrollment as a billing provider and for all necessary hospital privileges by the appointment start date.
Qualifications
- MD, DO, or equivalent degree.
Skills
- Strong clinical skills.
- Excellent communication and teaching abilities.
- Experience with pediatric hospital medicine.

- Compensation negotiable, 12-month employees.

Negotiable, 12 month employees.
Schedule
Full or part-time, 50%-100%.
This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location.

This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.
