Pediatric Hospitalist
About the role
Nemours Children’s Health is seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist or Nocturnist to join their team in Jacksonville, Florida. The selected candidates will provide inpatient medical care to pediatric patients, manage acute illnesses and chronic conditions, coordinate care with specialists, and participate in various clinical responses.
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient medical care to pediatric patients
- Manage acute illnesses and chronic conditions in hospitalized children and newborns
- Carefully coordinate care with subspecialists and ancillary services
- Participate in pediatric code response, rapid response, and emergency consultations as needed
- Offer consultation services to the Emergency Department and other hospital departments
- Education of medical students, residents, and staff if affiliated with a teaching institution
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives, clinical protocol development, and peer review
- Nocturnist/night shift preferred

Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board eligible/certified in specialty
- Eligible for unrestricted Florida medical license and DEA
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
