Requirements
- MD, DO, or MD/PhD degree
- BE/BC in Pediatric Neurology and Neurophysiology or Epilepsy
- A Texas medical license
Qualifications
- Board-certified pediatric neurologist (three of these Epileptology; three of these neurodevelopmental)
- Four full-time APPs (two of which are primarily on inpatient service support)
Skills
- Excellent organizational and leadership qualities
- Experience in epilepsy surgery or willingness to learn

About the Role
The Department of Pediatrics at CHRISTUS Children's Hospital in San Antonio is seeking an outstanding pediatric epileptologist to join their team. The ideal candidate will be a team player, possess excellent organizational and leadership qualities, and be willing to participate in educational and research programs while representing the division in the community and nationally. Preference is given to candidates with experience in epilepsy surgery or a willingness to learn.
The department currently has active programs in epilepsy, neurodevelopmental, ketogenic diet, neuromuscular disorders, neurogenetics, and a Pediatric Rehab/PM&R inpatient unit. The position involves outpatient clinics, shared inpatient rotations with call, trainee education, and clinical research. The Voelcker Clinical Research Center supports faculty involved in research.
