About the role

Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital (JDCH) is seeking a pediatric epileptologist with expertise in epilepsy surgery to join a comprehensive team of seven child neurologists in the Division of Pediatric Neurology.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating and treating complex patients
  • Evaluating and treating patients in the epilepsy monitoring unit, including those with intracranial recordings
  • Interpreting and reporting EEGs, including short and long-term inpatient, outpatient, and ambulatory EEG recordings, as well as EEGs in critically ill patients
  • Participating in research initiatives through the Office of Human Research

Requirements

  • BE/BC in neurology with special qualification in pediatric neurology
  • BE/BC in epilepsy
  • Training in presurgical evaluations and surgical planning within a multidisciplinary epilepsy management team

Qualifications

  • Full range of pediatric neurology services offered within the JDCH Neuroscience Center
  • Multidisciplinary team including child neurologists with expertise in multiple sub-specialties, pediatric neurosurgeons, and a pediatric neuropsychologist

  • Expertise in epilepsy surgery
