About the role
The Division of Pediatric Neurology at the University of Utah School of Medicine seeks a Pediatric Epileptologist to provide high-level care, including attending on the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, staffing the outpatient Complex Epilepsy Clinic, and providing comprehensive EEG reading services (including surgical epilepsy).
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care at Primary Children's Hospital and Primary Children's Eccles Outpatient Building in Salt Lake City, UT.
- Participate in education and scholarly activity, with opportunities in quality improvement and advocacy.
- Collaborate with pediatric neurosurgical and neuroimaging colleagues, as well as adult epilepsy programs across the region.
- Contribute to epilepsy care, including ketogenic diet, surgical epilepsy, neuromodulation, and gene-related therapies.
- Provide specialty care in neuromuscular, vascular disease, movement disorders, headache, and functional neuroimaging.
Requirements
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in both Pediatrics and Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology.
- Subspecialty training in pediatric epilepsy is required.
Qualifications
- Qualified candidates must have a MD or DO degree.
- Experience in pediatric epilepsy is preferred.
