Physician - Pediatric Epileptologist

About the role

Ochsner Children's Hospital is actively recruiting a BC/BE PEDIATRIC NEUROLOGIST, FELLOWSHIP TRAINED IN EPILEPSY to join our expanding practice in New Orleans, LA. Recent graduates and experienced physicians are welcome to apply. Salary offered will be competitive and commensurate with experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert care for children with epilepsy and other neurological conditions
• Contribute to the ongoing growth and development of the pediatric neurology program
• Participate in clinical research and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in pediatric epilepsy
• Collaborate with other specialists and support the multidisciplinary approach to patient care
• Train and mentor residents and fellows in epilepsy care

Requirements

• Board Certification in Pediatrics and Neurology
• Fellowship trained in Pediatric Neurology with a focus on epilepsy
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Current license to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana
• Passing scores on the USMLE or COMLEX exams

• Expertise in diagnosing and treating pediatric epilepsy
• Strong clinical skills and ability to manage complex cases
• Effective teaching and mentoring abilities
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
