Pediatric Echo Technician
Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Performs cardiac ultrasound to include, but not limited to, transthoracic (TTE), M-Mode, 2-dimensional, Doppler and color flow studies.
- Echocardiography studies will be performed on infants and fetal patients.
- Operates echocardiogram equipment, maintains, compiles, calculates and prepares findings for physician interpretation and archiving.
- Duties include but not limited to: Prepares patients for exams, monitors progress and records results. Performs timely procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician. Performs necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are performed. Adhere to and practices appropriate infection control policies and procedures. Performs QA on all echocardiogram equipment. Maintains and clean, organized work area. Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Certification from an approved echocardiography program with emphasis on pediatrics required.
- One –three years’ experience required.
- American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography in Pediatric and Fetal Echo (ARDMS) (RDCS-PE, FE); or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS); or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RDS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) ; or Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- BCLS and PALS required.
