Job Summary
The Pediatric Echo Technologist is responsible for performing echocardiograms, including exercise and pharmacological stress tests, and transesophageal echocardiograms for pediatric patients. Duties include conducting bubble studies, using contrast agents, maintaining equipment, documenting, educating patients, assisting with transport, and participating in an on-call schedule.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of start date
- Certified in Adult Echocardiography (RDMS or CCI) or registry-eligible, with completion of registry within 12 months of hire
- Prior experience in pediatric echocardiography is strongly preferred
- Ability to work on a PRN basis, primarily for nights and weekends

About the Role
We are seeking a Pediatric Echo Technologist to join our team. This role requires an understanding of human growth and development and age-specific treatment ranges to meet the needs of pediatric patients effectively. The sonographer will also be responsible for clerical duties related to cardiovascular procedures, ensuring high standards of practice, quality of care, and a patient-centered approach to service.
Requirements
The Pediatric Cardiovascular Sonographer must have:
- A High School Diploma or GED
- A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of start date
- A certification in Adult Echocardiography (RDMS or CCI) or be registry-eligible, with completion of registry within 12 months of hire
- Prior experience in pediatric echocardiography is strongly preferred
- An ability to work on a PRN basis, primarily for nights and weekends
