About the Role
Performs ultrasound procedures in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures to ensure the best possible patient care services. This role involves reviewing radiology exam requests, ensuring safe and cost-effective imaging, and applying a broad range of skills to meet quality and compliance standards. The position also includes providing appropriate diagnostic sonographer screening and assisting in the orientation and training of new staff.
Responsibilities
- Reviews radiology exam requests and patient identification to ensure safe, appropriate, and cost-effective imaging.
- Applies a broad range of skills to complete exams timely while meeting quality and compliance standards.
- Provides appropriate diagnostic sonographer screening for patients, staff, and self according to prescribed safety standards.
- Assists in the orientation and training of new staff.
Technical Capabilities

Requirements
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer certification.
- Less than 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Graduate of an approved discipline-specific program.
