Echo Technician
About the role
Under the direction of Cardiologists perform 2D, color flow, and Doppler echocardiograms at a technical level not requiring supervision. Locates and identifies any anomalies of disease or injury. Performs imaging and non-imaging cardiovascular evaluations and transesophageal echocardiography. Recognizes abnormal rhythms and notifies physician. Cleans and sterilizes equipment and workspace. Prepares patient records for review and interpretation.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion from a Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Sonography Program or Cardiovascular Technology Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied health Education Programs, Bachelor's degree preferred.
