PCN Clinical Program Coordinator

About the role

Hosts training sessions for students participating in clinical courses, including Fast Track Medical Assistant and Clinical Ladder classes. Serves as a trainer, mentor, and educational resource to staff, focusing on new employees and those needing additional training, and provides feedback to leaders.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements training materials, including competency checklists for clinical skills and new/ongoing clinical courses.
• Instructs clinical orientation, clinical courses, and annual competency sessions.
• Affords support to student externs during the application process, securing preceptors, and ensuring all documents and applications are complete and approved before rotations.
• Schedules and coordinates meetings, classes, and event sessions for new hire orientations and education events.
• Proctors certification exams.

Requirements

• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to exercise good judgement and discretion with sensitive personal information.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and excellent follow-through.
• Ability to speak and present to large groups.
• Ability to provide one-on-one training and give effective feedback.
• Knowledgeable and proficient in Microsoft technologies, including but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams; ability to learn new technologies and/or processes.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv
• 2+ years of related clinical experience with completion of externship or 6 months relevant experience within an AdventHealth facility.
• Experience as a clinical preceptor or trainer in designated role or field.
• Experience supervising staff.
• Experience teaching in formal/informal settings.
