About the role
Hosts training sessions for students participating in clinical courses, including Fast Track Medical Assistant and Clinical Ladder classes. Serves as a trainer, mentor, and educational resource to staff, focusing on new employees and those needing additional training, and provides feedback to leaders.
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements training materials, including competency checklists for clinical skills and new/ongoing clinical courses.
- Instructs clinical orientation, clinical courses, and annual competency sessions.
- Affords support to student externs during the application process, securing preceptors, and ensuring all documents and applications are complete and approved before rotations.
- Schedules and coordinates meetings, classes, and event sessions for new hire orientations and education events.
- Proctors certification exams.
Requirements
- Requires reliable transportation and a valid driver's license to travel within the region.
Qualifications
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to exercise good judgement and discretion with sensitive personal information. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and excellent follow-through. Ability to speak and present to large groups. Ability to provide one-on-one training and give effective feedback. Knowledgeable and proficient in Microsoft technologies, including but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams; ability to learn new technologies and/or processes.
