About the role
The PC Technician provides customer support for the IT Department to include end user support, minimal network support, general equipment maintenance, and inventory management.
Responsibilities
- Customer service to employees with hardware/software issues
- Ensure computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including associated storage systems, email servers, computer conferencing system, application servers and administrative systems.
- To document and switch out any hardware which is malfunctioning
- Track/order parts inventory for adequate supply of needed components.
- Resolve daily email support ticket requests.
- Aid the IT department with various projects.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Maintain endpoint security
Requirements
- Organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Proficient in (hardware/software) setup of new computers
- Basic knowledge of Windows Servers, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, FTP, VPN, TCP/IP, network topology, Azure, Remote Desktop, network printers and scanners
- Proficient in Microsoft Office/Office 365 and cloud computing
- Experience troubleshooting hardware and software problems.
- Basic knowledge of audio/visual systems, including conference room equipment.
- Knowledge of software distribution tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Positive and motivating attitude
- 2+ years in the Helpdesk/IT industry
Qualifications
- Experience with MS Server, Azure, LAN/WAN Hardware, and troubleshooting required.
- Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude.
- Excellent organizational skills, flexibility, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills.
- Mentors and takes lead with other technicians.
- The ability to function in a service capacity.
- Must attend virtual training classes to ensure firm is at the cutting edge of technology.
- Must utilize Udemy for Business.
- Shows progress in working towards obtaining professional certifications.
- Strong knowledge of networking technology.
