PC Technician

About the role

Contract position in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Work hours are 8 am to 5 pm.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals
• Documents, maintains, upgrades, or replaces hardware and software systems
• Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security, and systems groups
• Provides routine analysis and problem solving of network or PC software, hardware, or peripherals
• Contacts and coordinates with hardware or software vendors for service when necessary
• Installs computer hardware, software, and peripherals for new employees
• Installs new software packages and upgrades
• May control password assignment
• May aid in the development of system documentation and procedure manuals as required
• May facilitate and conduct training sessions for company employees in the operation of software/hardware systems

Requirements

• High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Two-year degree or equivalent preferred
• Excellent customer service skills
• General knowledge of a wide variety of software, hardware, and PC operating systems preferred

Pay

$15.00 – $17.46 per hour. Pay offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, and certifications.
