About the Role

To relay telephone calls to appropriate extensions as quickly and as accurately as possible. To overhead page and voice beep CODES and individuals per policy specifications.

Responsibilities

• Answers incoming calls, extends to proper extension courteously and quickly.
• Responds correctly and expediently per department policy to alarm systems: fire, codes, generator failure, etc.
• Pages and voice messages doctors and hospital personnel clearly and promptly.
• Actively assists in training of new operators when necessary.
• Takes initiative to keep calendar lists and on-call lists updated in all handbooks.
