About the Role
The PBX operator efficiently answers and routes all incoming calls to the switchboard in the shortest time possible. This role requires handling a high volume of calls, interacting pleasantly with the public, monitoring multiple alarm panels, and managing overhead paging.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and route them to other departments.
- Monitor multiple alarm panels and code phones.
- Place long-distance calls for physicians.
- Page overhead for employees and code announcements.
- Follow policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Complete required education assignments annually.
- Work toward achieving goals and objectives and participate in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: None specified; any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate the knowledge, skill, and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job. Typically, this would be equivalent to a high school diploma or GED. Preference may be given to individuals possessing a high school diploma or GED.

Schedule
Part-time, 48 hours per pay period, variable shifts.
