Payroll Specialist REMOTE and or HYBIRD Opportunity

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Calculate multiple multi-state payrolls, taxes, deductions on a weekly basis while ensuring compliance with federal and state laws.
• Verify time and attendance information and maintain accurate records.
• Investigate questions and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform audits and reconciliation of quarter and year end filings, paid time off, benefit deductions and benefit invoices.
• Audit employee changes to ensure accurate employee records.
• Communicate with employees, managers, HR and Finance regarding payroll records, paychecks, company policies, reports, and journal entries.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND/OR SKILLS

• Associate or bachelor’s degree or FPC or CPP preferred but will consider a minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience.
• Experience in ADP Workforce Now preferred.
• Highly organized with strong data management skills.
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.
• Accuracy and attention to detail with an aptitude for numbers and quantitative reasoning.
• Strong communication skills while maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and respect for the privacy of employee records.
• Must be able to prioritize and adapt in a fast paced, high output environment with time sensitive tasks.
• Must be able to work as a team player, take directions from manager and work independently on self-directed projects.

Work Environment

• This position operates in both office and manufacturing floor environments.
• Exposure to noise, machinery, temperature variation, and industrial conditions may occur when accessing plant areas.

Physical Demands

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Occasional lifting up to 15 pounds.
• Accessing production areas when necessary.
