Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing in ADP Workforce Now, ensuring employees are paid accurately and within established deadlines.
- Process biweekly payroll for a mixed workforce of hourly and salaried employees, including complex pay elements and off-cycle payments when required.
- Administer benefits activities such as enrollments, status updates, terminations, and communication with insurance carriers or plan providers.
- Cook up onboarding and separation tasks, including system updates, employee setup, and final paycheck administration.
- Maintain organized employee records and assist with file cleanup and documentation projects as needed.
- Monitor payroll practices for compliance with federal, state, and Washington-specific regulations, including wage and hour requirements.
- Partner with Human Resources and Finance teams to reconcile payroll data, resolve discrepancies, and support reporting needs.
Requirements
- Expert-level experience using ADP Workforce Now for payroll administration is required.
- At least 2 years of direct payroll processing experience, with the ability to manage full-cycle payroll responsibilities independently.
- Proven background handling multi-state payroll for both hourly and salaried employee populations.
- Solid understanding of payroll compliance, tax withholding, garnishments, and applicable wage and hour laws.
- Experience supporting benefits administration, including employee changes and carrier coordination.
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to work accurately under tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented discretion and a high level of integrity when managing confidential employee information.
- Proficiency with Excel and comfort working in a deadline-driven operational setting.
