Payroll Specialist
Essential Functions
- Process and reconcile bi-weekly payroll timely; ensure accuracy of overtime, bonuses, pay adjustments, retro-active corrections, and other special pay
- Produce and distribute requested reports to the various managers/departments
- Partner with the facilities HR Managers to ensure all exempt and non-exempt timecards are approved timely and accurately
- Manage and reconcile special deductions and employee accruals; work closely with HR Benefits on employee benefit deductions
- Cookordinate with HR Managers on accuracy of new hire and rehire set-up in HR/Payroll system, social security number, tax set-up, direct deposit, etc.
- Maintain accuracy of tax configuration and table for local, state, and federal payroll regulations, including reconciling and distributing W2s
- Maintain the entire Garnishment process, from notifying the employee to ensuring garnishment vendors are paid and complying with the state and federal regulations
- Parter with internal and external auditors; provide documentation as requested
Required Education
An associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Experience
2 years’ payroll experience
Preferred Experience
1 year experience in a healthcare payroll setting
