Payroll Specialist

Job Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle payroll operations for 1,000+ employees across multiple states and company entities
• Maintain employee payroll records, process personnel changes, and ensure data accuracy within the system
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including California wage and hour requirements
• Review payroll registers, audit earnings and deductions, and resolve discrepancies prior to payroll processing
• Generate payroll reports and assist with reconciliations, audits, and internal reporting
• Support onboarding, terminations, benefit deductions, and employee updates
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries while providing excellent customer service and maintaining confidentiality

Requirements

• Experience processing within multi-state (must have CA) and multi-entity environments
• Experience utilizing Paylocity Advanced Microsoft Excel experience (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS)
