Position Overview
Job Summary
Oversees daily operations, ensures payroll accuracy, and prepares comprehensive financial reports.
Acts as a liaison with vendors, manages audits, and provides training to staff.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Hires, manages, mentors, and trains new and existing Senior/Payroll Specialists.
- Oversees the daily operations of the payroll department.
- Compares payroll totals over prior week to ensure accuracy and approves final payroll.
- Prepares and provides monthly accounting reports for close.
- Runs weekly and monthly internal audit reports and organizes and delegates external audit requests.
- Provides and approves Management reports as needed.
- Manages off-cycle payments associated with payroll.
- Acts as company liaison with vendors.
- Manages and provides assistance on a back-up basis with the processing of payroll on a weekly basis.
- Fields payroll escalations and performs required research to resolve.
- Assists with the start-up of acquired and new facilities as needed.
- Assists the Director/AVP of Payroll to prepare written policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor Degree
- Experience: 3-5 years
- Licenses and Certifications: Certified Payroll Professional Cert (CPP), Fundamental Payroll Cert (FPC) preferred
