Payroll Manager

Responsibilities

  • Lead complete payroll processing from data review through final distribution for a workforce of approximately 101 to 500 employees.
  • Administer payroll activities across multiple states, ensuring proper application of tax withholdings, wage rules, and related compliance requirements.
  • Review payroll records for accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues before each payroll cycle is finalized.
  • Maintain employee payroll information in ADP Workforce Now and ensure updates are entered correctly and on time.
  • Partner with human resources, finance, and management to address payroll questions, reporting needs, and employee pay matters.
  • Prepare payroll-related reports, reconcile payroll data, and support audits or internal reviews as needed.
  • Monitor payroll practices and recommend process improvements that strengthen accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Ensure payroll deadlines are consistently met while safeguarding confidential employee and compensation information.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle payroll in a detail-oriented business environment.
  • Hands-on knowledge of multi-state payroll administration and related compliance considerations.
  • Background supporting payroll for organizations with approximately 101 to 500 employees.
  • Proficiency using ADP Workforce Now for payroll processing and record maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of payroll procedures, earnings and deduction calculations, and payroll reporting.
  • High level of accuracy, organization, and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to analyze payroll issues, resolve discrepancies, and communicate clearly with internal teams.
