About the role
The role of Payroll Coordinator at Metro Elevator involves managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and providing support to employees regarding their benefits and compensation.
Responsibilities
- Manage payroll processing including direct deposit, garnishments, and tax withholdings.
- Ensure accuracy and timely submission of payroll reports to relevant authorities.
- Provide guidance and support to employees regarding their benefits and compensation inquiries.
- Handle employee requests related to time off, leaves, and other HR matters.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of payroll transactions and employee data.
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to ensure smooth payroll operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in payroll administration or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of payroll software and systems.
- Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Qualifications
- Experience with HRIS systems.
- Knowledge of federal and state labor laws.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Skills
- Proficient in using payroll software such as ADP, Paychex, or Gusto.
- Experience with HRIS systems like Workday or Oracle HRMS.

Pay
