About the role
We are seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented individual to support the financial and administrative operations of our facility. This role combines payroll, accounts payable, and bookkeeping responsibilities with a focus on skilled nursing facility billing and insurance processes.
Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations
- Process accounts payable and maintain accurate financial records
- Perform bookkeeping and general accounting support for the facility
- Assist with skilled nursing facility billing and insurance processes
- Complete and follow up on Medicaid applications
- Process and track insurance approvals and related documentation
- Maintain organized and accurate financial and administrative records
- Respond to employee payroll questions and assist with resolving discrepancies
- Provide administrative and financial support to facility leadership
- Maintain confidentiality of employee, resident, and financial information
- Assist with additional accounting and administrative duties as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience with skilled nursing facility billing and insurance is required
- Experience with Medicaid applications and processing insurance approvals
- Previous payroll, accounts payable, bookkeeping, or healthcare administrative experience required
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
- Ability to handle employee, resident, and financial information with confidentiality
- Proficiency with computer systems; experience with payroll and accounting software is a plus
- Dependable, flexible, accountable, and able to maintain a positive attitude
- Must enjoy working with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Must pass a background check and drug screen
