Payroll Analyst

An established entertainment company is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations during a temporary assignment. This role will assist with processing payroll for a large employee population, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations, and partnering with HR and Finance teams to maintain accurate employee records and payroll reporting. The ideal candidate has experience working in fast-paced environments, strong payroll knowledge, and excellent problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls for both hourly and salaried employeesReview payroll data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies prior to payroll submissionMaintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, status changes, and deductionsEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including multi-state payroll requirementsHandle garnishments, wage attachments, tax notices, and employee payroll inquiriesReconcile payroll reports, earnings, deductions, and benefit withholdingsSupport payroll audits and assist with month-end reporting activitiesGenerate payroll-related reports and provide data to HR, Finance, and management teams as neededCollaborate with HR regarding employee transactions impacting payrollAssist with payroll system updates, testing, and special projects as assigned Qualifications 3+ years of payroll processing experienceExperience supporting payroll in a high-volume environmentKnowledge of federal and state payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, and payroll tax complianceExperience with major payroll or HRIS platforms such as ADP, Workday, UKG, SAP, Ceridian, or similar systemsStrong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and data reconciliationHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee informationStrong communication and customer service skillsAbility to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
