About the role
This role offers the chance to join a collaborative team that supports the day-to-day success of the organization. Ideal for those who want to expand their expertise in areas like ACH, IRA administration, wires, account maintenance, debit card operations, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Achieve accuracy, compliance, efficiency, and service in ACH operations by processing ACH activity, handling exception reports, and reconciling GL accounts.
- Support plastic card operations by processing ATM and debit card disputes and chargebacks, monitoring accounts for unusual activity, and resolving member issues.
- Maintain IRA accounts for accuracy and completeness, process IRA death claims, and administer new accounts, rollovers, withdrawals, and system updates.
- Provide operational support by reviewing account opening activity, handling account exceptions, and conducting audits to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with the team by attending department meetings, staying current on regulatory changes, and improving workflows to support operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist with escalated or complex tasks, manage wire processing, and support the overall success of the department.
Requirements
- At least 3 to 5 years of work experience, including at least 2 years in Credit Union Retail or Back Office Operations.
- A strong understanding of deposit operations and related banking processes.
- Proven ability to work accurately and independently with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Clear, professional, and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and work within additional software platforms and SaaS tools.
- A team-oriented mindset with the ability to support and mentor others.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma, GED, or foreign equivalent.
- Preferred qualifications include IRA or ACH training, certifications, or vendor credentials.
- A willingness to participate in ongoing training related to compliance and best practices.
Benefits
The salary range for this role is $55,000 - $60,000. This is an on-site role.
