Patient Transport Specialist Role: Support safe and efficient patient care by transporting patients, equipment, and critical items within the hospital, ensuring comfort and safety. Responsibilities: Safely move patients via gurney, bed, wheelchair, or crib; assist with oxygen and isolation patient protocols; support licensed nurses with traction, IV equipment, and transfers; follow safe handling procedures; provide age-appropriate and sensitive patient support.Perform operational tasks such as delivering specimens, blood products, medications, and equipment; collaborate with hospital staff; report issues; adhere to policies; maintain professionalism; and train new personnel.Transport deceased patients and operate morgue vehicles as certified. Qualifications & Skills: Knowledge of safe transport policies; strong communication and interpersonal skills; physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment (minimum 150 pounds); understanding of medical terminology; ability to operate medical equipment; punctual, professional, and team-oriented.
