Schedule
Monday–Friday, rotating hours each week:
- Week 1: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Week 2: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
No weekend or holiday shifts required.
About the role
Under the supervision of a Nurse Leader, the Patient Care Tech performs specific duties that support patient care, including direct and indirect patient care activities essential to providing a safe and efficient care environment. This position performs selected interventions and activities that contribute to comprehensive patient care in accordance with all regulatory and hospital standards, policies, and procedures. Along with the care team, this role ensures a positive patient experience.
This role operates in a high-activity work environment with multiple priorities and requires flexibility in scheduling. Additional responsibilities and career advancement opportunities are available through a clinical ladder for Patient Care Techs based on experience, skillsets, and certifications held.
Responsibilities
- Support patient care through direct and indirect activities
- Perform interventions and tasks contributing to comprehensive care
- Ensure a safe and efficient care environment
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and hospital standards
- Collaborate with the care team to enhance patient experience
Requirements
- No prior experience required; on-site training provided
- Successful completion of PCT-specific HHC orientation
- Certified BLS Provider credential from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 2 months (60 days) of hire
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Some relevant experience in an acute care hospital environment (preferred)
- Current certified BLS Provider credential from the AHA (preferred)
- Certification as a CNA, CPCT/A, EMT, or CMA to be eligible for advancement in the PCT clinical ladder (preferred)
