About the role

We have an immediate opening for a Patient Service Representative to join our team at Shady Grove Fertility in Towson, Maryland. This role provides the opportunity to grow within a nationally respected organization while remaining closely connected to the patients and teams you support every day.

Schedule

  • Every other Saturday and Sunday
  • 6:45 AM until shift ends (half days)

Pay

$20 to $23 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal financial and insurance information
  • Optimize patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by assessing minimum patient needs and scheduling accordingly
  • Schedule appointments
  • Address customer/patient issues and ensure effective short-term and long-term resolution
  • Provide timely feedback to the practice regarding service failures or patient concerns
  • Consult with patients regarding their benefits, coverage, and financial options
  • Greet patients and visitors to the office and provide a high level of customer service

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of applicable work experience
  • High School diploma required
  • Extensive knowledge of insurance/benefits, medical terminology, and medical billing
  • Experience working in an OB/GYN office is a plus
  • Strong communication skills
  • Independent worker, detail-oriented, computer savvy
  • High level of customer service essential
