Patient Service Specialist (PSS)
Responsibilities
- Process referrals, schedule patients, complete the intake process, and perform data entry.
- Verify patient insurance, obtain required authorizations, explain benefits, financial responsibilities, billing, and outpatient policies.
- Collect toward patient responsibility at each visit.
- Scan and maintain medical documents.
- Reconcile and post charges daily and manage other reporting to ensure clean claim processing.
- Respond to all requests for information from patients, other departments, and physicians.
- Maintain the office, order supplies, and manage mail.
- Adjust schedule to center needs.
- Attend all mandatory meetings and in-service education programs.
- Travel to non-home location centers or other sites for coverage when necessary.
Requirements
- HS diploma or GED.
- Customer service experience.
- Knowledge of insurance verification.
- Healthcare, medical, or dental office administration experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Flexible and able to work well with others or independently.
- Self-starter with outstanding customer service skills.
- Ability to get things done.

Pay
Compensation depends upon candidate’s years of experience and internal equity. Starting salary: $18 - $25 per hour based off experience.
Schedule
Full Time, Float Hours: vary between Monday - Friday 7am - 7pm.
