Patient Service Specialist

Will travel between clinics in the area, including Columbia, Jefferson City, and Fulton.

About the role

Manage both the patient side and business side of the outpatient physical therapy center, ensuring exceptional patient experiences.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients, providing information about their visit and next appointment.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Communicate with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies, translation services, operational leaders, and business development team.
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of front desk experience preferred.
• One year of medical office experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Walk, stand, bend, and reach throughout a work day/shift.
• Use manual dexterity to type (including 10-key).
• Lift up to 25 lbs safely, using proper body mechanics.
• Carry office supplies up to 10 lbs.
• Maintain visual acuity for accurate records, recognizing people, and understanding written directions.
• Speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.

Compensation

$17.00 - $19.00/hour, based on experience.
