About the role
We want each patient to have an exceptional experience starting at the front desk. As a Patient Service Specialist, you will manage both the patient side and the business side of our outpatient physical therapy center.
Responsibilities
- Greet and register patients and provide information about their visit and next appointment.
- Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
- Communicate with insurance companies, translation services, operational leaders, and business development teams.
- Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- One year of front desk experience.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Flexibility to work 40 hours per week, 7A-7P, Monday-Friday.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and procedures.
