Patient Service Rep (PSR) - Occupational Health
About the role
A patient service representative (PSR) position is available at Advocate Medical Group (AMG), part of Advocate Health, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The role requires working hours between 7:45 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional coverage at Neenah and FDL locations.
Responsibilities
- Provides efficient, high-quality service to patients who arrive for appointments or who telephone or visit in person to request appointments or information on tests and procedures, bills and charges, referrals, and other matters.
- Ensures entry at time of service of billing information on the patient and payer and accurate follow-up on missing information.
- Upholds standards of the practice and of the medical group for accurate and timely medical records.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to two years related customer service experience.
- Experience handling difficult callers/customers/patients.

Skills
Ability to function in a high volume, multiple-task environment, and in a crowded or closely shared workspace. Exposure to ill patients. Ability to work under stressful conditions with demanding customers. Must lift up to 35 pounds without help. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available.

Pay
$19.80 - $29.70 per hour, based on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and/or training.
Schedule
Hours between 7:45 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. M-F. No weekends or holidays. Position will require occasional coverage at Neenah and FDL locations.
