About The Company

Recover is a startup working to make addiction treatment and mental healthcare more effective, accessible, and affordable. We work with governments to use technology and medicine to improve outcomes for people who need care. Our program is a tech-enabled treatment program for people with substance use and mental health challenges. We use a harm reduction approach to treatment, and are focused on serving marginalized and underserved communities. We are a small team growing quickly, and looking for people to grow with us. Our team includes people from Yale Law, UCLA School of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, and White House alums.

What You'll Do

  • Client Outreach & Engagement
    • Answer inbound calls from patients seeking treatment
    • Make outbound calls to referred individuals, building rapport and sharing information about Recover's services
    • Follow up with prospective clients who need additional outreach or who are awaiting insurance enrollment
    • Eligibility & Enrollment
      • Confirm insurance status using verification portals
      • Search and manage client records in our electronic health record, creating new charts or updating existing ones as needed
      • Walk clients through enrollment documents and explain the sign-up process
      • Provide warm hand-offs to other resources when clients are not eligible for Recover's services
    • Scheduling
      • Schedule initial appointments based on client preferences for timing, provider, and format

Requirements

  • Need to have Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • 1+ year of experience in a client-facing role involving phone-based outreach, intake, admissions, scheduling, or engagement
  • Familiarity with healthcare
  • Comfortable working independently and managing a high volume of calls and follow-ups
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and explain processes clearly

Nice to have

  • Certified or Registered Alcohol Drug Counselor (RADT, CADC-I or higher, or equivalent)
  • Experience with EHR systems
  • Experience in addiction treatment or behavioral health settings
  • Lived experience with substance use disorders
