Patient Scheduling Coordinator
About the Role
Texas Physical Therapy Specialists is seeking a Medical Scheduling Coordinator to join our growing Centralized Scheduling and Referral Team. After completing paid onsite training in Live Oak, TX, you'll transition to working remotely while remaining part of a supportive and collaborative team. Candidates must be local to San Antonio, TX (Live Oak).
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming patient calls
- Schedule new and follow-up appointments
- Process physician referrals accurately
- Coordinate with clinics and providers
- Maintain accurate patient records in EMR system, including verifying and updating patient demographics, insurance information, and other required documentation
- Deliver compassionate customer service
- Help patients begin their therapy journey
Requirements
- 1+ year of medical office, scheduling, patient access, referral coordination, or medical call center experience
- Excellent phone communication skills
- Comfortable managing multiple calls while maintaining accuracy
- Strong computer and data entry skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must live near Live Oak/San Antonio, TX for required training and occasional in-office meetings
Pay
~$17-$18 per hour
Schedule
Flexible 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, Monday–Thursday; Friday: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
