Patient Relations Assistant/UKHC

Job Summary
This clinic seeks an individual to provide front desk registration in the outpatient clinic. Primary responsibilities include greeting patients, registration, insurance verification, cash handling, medical record preparation, scheduling appointments, procuring new patient records, communicating with patients via phone and in person, and answering telephones. This position supports efficient patient care and clinic initiatives for improved patient attendance and record keeping.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
The ideal candidate should have extensive customer service experience, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, data entry skills, and a team-oriented approach. Must be able to handle stressful and/or crisis situations calmly and helpfully.

Physical Requirements
Regularly sit at a computer workstation for extended periods, walk, push, pull, and lift up to 10 lbs, occasionally lift up to 50 lbs, exposed to loud noises, bloodborne/pathogen exposure, and potentially combative/violent individuals.

Shift Details
Days, 8:00 am-5:00 pm, Monday-Friday, and other days and hours as needed.
