Patient Registration Specialist
About the role
We are seeking a friendly, customer-focused Patient Services Representative to serve as the welcoming face of our clinics. This role is responsible for patient check-in, insurance verification, and creating a positive experience for patients, many of whom are managing chronic pain conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients in a professional and compassionate manner
- Collect and update patient demographic information
- Review and verify insurance information and eligibility
- Ensure all required patient paperwork is completed accurately
- Maintain a positive, patient-centered experience from arrival through check-in
- Support front desk operations while delivering exceptional customer service
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a healthcare, medical office, or dental office setting preferred
- Experience reading and understanding insurance cards and benefits
- Knowledge of insurance verification processes
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Friendly, welcoming personality with the ability to work effectively with patients experiencing chronic pain
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical terminology knowledge or related healthcare education is a plus
Schedule
- Clinic hours vary by location
- Minneapolis: Opener: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Closer: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or until the last patient leaves
- All Other Locations: Typically 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM or until the last patient leaves, or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or until the last patient leaves
- Travel Requirements: Floating position requiring flexibility to work across multiple clinic locations
Benefits
- Mileage Reimbursement: Mileage beyond your normal commute is reimbursed at the current IRS mileage rate ($0.76 per mile)
- Additional Location Differential: Provides an additional $5.00 per hour worked at clinics located outside the seven-county metro area: Cambridge, Buffalo, and Northfield
Pay
- The pay range for this position is $47,840.00 - $47,840.00/yr.
