Patient Registration Specialist
Position Summary
We are seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. This role is responsible for patient registration, insurance verification, admissions support, and delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Register patients and accurately enter demographic and personal information into the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Verify patient and visitor identities by collecting required information and valid photo identification.
- Determine patient payment responsibilities and identify individuals who may require financial assistance or payment arrangements.
- Explain consent forms, patient rights documents, and other required paperwork.
- Distribute and collect admissions and registration documentation while ensuring all forms are completed accurately.
- Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage information prior to services.
- Answer and route incoming telephone calls, providing information and assistance as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure a smooth patient experience.
- Resolve patient concerns with professionalism and escalate issues when appropriate.

This is a Contract position based out of Eureka, CA.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
