About the role
The Specialist, Patient Registration facilitates new patients’ transition to Option Care Health services, ensuring a consistent onboarding experience where patients and referral partners feel the process is seamless. This role works closely with Sales, pharmacy, and nursing teams to prepare patients for services and manage all aspects of their transition to home or alternate infusion sites.
Responsibilities
- Engage with patients, referral sources, sales, pharmacy, and nursing to coordinate discharge and secure nursing and delivery services.
- Create, communicate, and obtain all required documentation for new referrals.
- Secure patient upfront payments, including assisting patients in finding payment avenues and directing them to financial assistance programs when needed.
- Support ongoing activities to ensure clean claims, manage holds, and resolve denials by following up on missing paperwork.
- Assist the Patient Registration Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of two years of related experience.
- Ability to multitask and support multiple referrals/priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams in sales and operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous healthcare or medical billing experience.
Pay
Salary is determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market alignment. The pay range for this position is $16.61–$26.96 per hour.
