Job Description Emergency Dept Brownstown Full Time Midnight Shift - 10pm-7am Role Overview As a Patient Registration Rep, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience. You will handle patient registration, insurance verification, and cash collections, while advocating for patient needs. Your role is crucial in creating a positive first impression and ensuring smooth access to healthcare services. What You Will Do Follow standard operating procedures for patient registration, including face-to-face check-in and preregistration.Confirm insurance eligibility and handle cash collections.Update patient registration and insurance information.Respond to inquiries from callers and customers, advocating on their behalf.Provide efficient and effective customer relationship management, instilling loyalty and anticipating needs. Required Qualifications What You Will Need High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.Ability to meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards, and behaviors. Preferred Qualifications One (1) year of experience related to patient admitting, registration, and/or insurance eligibility and verification in a hospital or medical office setting.EPIC training/experience and ICD-10 medical terminology experience.
