Patient Placement Coordinator

Role Overview The Patient Placement Coordinator is a frontline role responsible for managing patient admissions, transfers, and hospital bed capacity, ensuring smooth patient flow within a pediatric healthcare setting. They serve as the primary point of contact for families, providers, and internal teams, communicating effectively to facilitate patient placement and access to services. The position requires RN licensure with a minimum of 2-3 years of Emergency Room experience, demonstrating strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and knowledge of patient care across all ages. Key duties include managing transfer requests, collaborating with clinical departments, coordinating bed assignments, and ensuring timely admissions while maintaining high standards of customer service and Family Centered Care.
