Patient Monitor Observer - Full Time

About the role

The Patient Monitor Observer team at Sanford Medical Center Fargo is dedicated to ensuring patient safety through continuous video observation and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Basic computer keyboarding skills
• Tearing down and assembling patient charts as appropriate
• Calling other departments to inform them of ordered tests and procedures as needed
• Stocking supplies
• Maintaining continuous observation and surveillance of assigned patients
• Summoning the nursing staff if the patient requires assistance
• Following set algorithms, interpreting alarming events, and communicating appropriately

Qualifications

• A high school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED)
• Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical equipment/supplies is preferred

$17.00 - $24.00 per hour

Schedule

Varies, including shifts such as 7:00am-3:30pm, 3:00pm-11:30pm, and 7:00am-7:30pm. Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation.
