About the Role
We are seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a member of our Magnet-designated Nursing team, you will provide support to the inpatient nursing staff while helping ensure the comfort and safety of our patients and their family members on M12, a 43-bed hematology unit equipped with telemetry monitoring. The unit provides care for high-acuity patients, including those involved in Phase 1 clinical trials, ICU step-down patients, and emergency room transfers.
Responsibilities
- Work under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse and assist patients in a timely and efficient manner
- Handle patient care situations with a high level of integrity, compassion, and professionalism
- Take vital signs, perform EKGs, and collect specimens
- Collaborate with the clinical team and provide assistance with procedures as needed
- Use basic computer and data entry skills to support clinical documentation
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of healthcare-related experience in one or more of the following roles: Nursing Assistant (NA), Patient Care Technician (PCT), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Medical Technician, Phlebotomist, or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- OR, if less than 2 years of experience:
- A Nursing Assistant or other healthcare-related certification obtained within the past 12 months, AND
- At least 1 year of healthcare-related experience in one of the roles listed above
- BLS certification required by time of hire
- Epic EMR experience preferred

Schedule
Days: Three 12-hour shifts (7am-7:30pm); Monday through Friday, rotating weekends and holidays
Pay
Pay Range: $24.05 - $36.21 per hour
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
