Patient Care Specialist - Cardiac Stepdown 6028- (Full Time)

The Patient Care Specialist at St. Mary's Medical Center will assist in providing patient care activities for which they have been prepared and in accordance with Medical Center policy and procedures. This position functions under the supervision and guidance of a Registered Nurse.

About the role

Provides direct patient care to patients on the Cardiac Stepdown Unit, including but not limited to:

• Assisting with patient transfers and ambulation
• Administering medications as ordered
• Monitoring vital signs and reporting changes
• Assisting with diagnostic tests and treatments
• Ensuring patient comfort and safety

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current certification as a Patient Care Technician (PCT)
• One year of related healthcare experience preferred

Qualifications

• Valid Florida Driver’s License
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
