Details

Reports to the job as scheduled or gives proper notification of absence.

Delegated Tasks

• Performs delegated tasks within job description in a timely manner.

• Fulfills standard safety precautions.
• Utilizes appropriate measures to promote and maintain patient safety.

Kitchen, Transport, and Supply Duties

• Performs kitchen, transport, and supply duties as assigned.

Documentation

• Observes and reports pertinent information to the nurse.
• Documents on patient record.
• Demonstrates knowledge of procedures to be followed in fire or disaster situations.

Competency Assessments

• Completes annual required competency assessments.
• Maintains necessary job knowledge and skills documented in Nursing Administration.

Nursing Care

• Demonstrates knowledge of procedures to be followed in fire or disaster situations.
• Utilizes principles of growth and development and the aging process when providing nursing care to patients ranging in age from neonate to geriatrics.

Communication

• Demonstrates a caring attitude in relationship with others.
• Utilizes appropriate communication to establish a relationship with patient and family.
• Utilizes interpersonal techniques which facilitate a productive relationship while working with colleagues and personnel.

Confidentiality

• Maintains confidentiality.

Other Duties

• Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Standards of Conduct and Policies

• Follows the standards of conduct and policies and procedures of St. Mary’s Medical Center and applicable laws and regulations.
• Reports violations through the appropriate chain of command.
