About the role

The Patient Care Assistant works in a supporting role to nursing by conducting patient care activities.

Responsibilities

• Conducting patient care activities
• Providing direct and indirect non-professional nursing care under nursing or medical supervision
• Performing duties such as cleaning, taking vital signs, obtaining lab specimens, charting, escorting patients, assisting with activities of daily living, managing clerical duties and ordering and receiving supplies

Requirements

• Proof of required degrees, certificates and/or certifications at the time of the interview
• Medical Terminology exam score of 80% or higher
• Proof of satisfactory completion of a Medical Assistant degree or Certified Nurses Aide certification
